This is a 1987 comedy directed, written and produced by Mel Brooks there were two other writers these being Thomas Meehan and Ronny Graham. The film was funded by MGM with a budget of $22,700,000 which had made $38,000,000. The film Stars Mel Brooks, John Candy, Rick Moranis, Bill Fullman and Daphne Zuniga. The film wasn't nominated for anything the only award it won was for being the worst film of the year. The film is a parody of the star wars trilogy though mostly episode 4, films what have done similar to this are "Meet The Spartans" (2008) & "The Starving Games"(2013). For this I shall be looking at performance and misc en scene.
In this part I shall be looking at the performance of Princess Vespa. Princess Vespa is clearly meant to be portrayed to be a copy of Princess Leia. However to make it fit into the comedy genre more that have created her as a whinny princess. This can be seen as she of is signing and having a loud and angered voice , what is often seen to be a part of a whinny characteristic.
Lone Starr is portrayed as a rough character. This can be seen as in the film he wears a battered brown jacket. This is often seen on characters who are like this such as Indiana Jones (Who had played Han Solo as well) who is considered to be rough. This will let the audience know what kind of person he is and the characteristics he would have.
