The film is based of a true story of a woman of the same name noticed something strange when working investigated it and it turned out to be a large scandal by a power and electricity company. For this I shall be looking at Misc en scene and performance.
For this I shall be looking at Misc en scene. In one scene Erin comes home to find George looking after her children, after she sends her children the two have a conversation while the two tidy up. In this Erin is sorting out a pile of playing cards into the right piles it is meant top symbolizing that she is at that point trying to sort out her life, an extension of this could be Erin trying to sort her life out with George as they are his cards. It would be telling the audience that she is confused what she has to do with her life.
At another point in the film Erin is asked to leave her work alone and to hand it over. When this happens she refuses with a clear fiery passion as there is anger in her voice and a sense of defence as she has worked on that for a long time only for it to be taken away. It very clearly and loudly tell she audience that she cares for this work and for the people it has affected and will do. In addition it reminds the audience again that she is a strong person and will stand by her work.
